Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a child of a mixed-race family from South London in England. Her mother and father were both English. She was raised in the South London Council Estate and went to The Brit School aged 14. In London, she studied at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art where her acting certificate was awarded. As a student at the academy was when she performed in various stage productions including the King Henry V as Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights as Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began her acting career through the movie Storm Damage. In the following years, she appeared on Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her first role in a film was Woody Allen's 2007 film Cassandra's Dream opposite Colin Farrell, Ewan McGregor. Then, she was the lead in Elisha in the BBC Three pilot drama, in West 10 LDN. In the same time, she starred as Ollie for six episodes from Trexx, Flipside, and Flipside. Madekwe played Bambi in The ITV2 drama Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe played the lead role in How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedy that was released in the year 2008. Some of her theatre credits include Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) and Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe made her debut in the US by presenting The Beautiful Life. The drama show ran at The CW for only two episodes, before it was ended. Ashley Davenport, a character on ABC's Revenge drama series was cast to play Ashley Davenport. After being a regular for the first two seasons the show was announced late May 2013 that Madekwe was set to depart the series following her appearance on the premiere episode from the 3rd season. From 2014 to the year 2016, she appeared on Salem on the CW as Tituba. Madekwe was married to her long-time love, Iddo. The two have collaborated in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl in the past, and Goldberg is also a part of the cast in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat, an actress who was twice nominated for a Gemini Award, hails from a large Hamilton family. Her parents Roy and Patty along with her brothers Brett, Todd, and Bram who were also present. Ashley's brothers, who were all very physically active, were all playing hockey in the winters and baseball in the summers, meaning she basically grew up in arenas and baseball parks. Ashley did not have the ability to walk, but she danced. When she turned two-and-a-half she took up Baby Ballet and fell in with. Ashley was enthralled by dance immediately after that. Ashley continued to perform competitively until her high-school graduation in top divisions such as ballet, tap, Jazz Pointe, Acrobatics, Pointe Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Hip Hop, and much more. The top soloist at important competitions like International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance and many more were awarded to Ashley.
